About the Founder
Dr. Roop Kumari (Roopa) is a public health expert with over three decades of experience in vector-borne and communicable disease control, health systems strengthening, and community development. She has provided strategic leadership at national and international levels, including roles with the WHO and the Government of India, driving programs on malaria elimination, vector control, and health surveillance.
As the Founder and Managing Director of CARAH Women Foundation, Dr. Roop Kumari brings her expertise to empower women, adolescents, and marginalized communities, integrating climate resilience, health equity, and leadership development into all initiatives. Her vision is to create inclusive, sustainable, and impactful solutions that address systemic challenges and promote community-led change.
